For the past week we have buried in snow at our house here in Mission.  Very glad that we own AWD vehicles.  I tell you this to let you know know how shocked I was to drive into Vancouver yesterday and discover no snow on the ground.  Luckily Sergey and Caitlin were getting married on top of Seymour mountain and very soon I was back in the snow.

It was a very unique location, a fun mixture of skiers in snowsuits and wedding goers in suits.  There was a fog in the air from the metling snow which gave a magical feeling to the day.

The wedding itself was short but it went perfectly.  Caitlin looked radiant and Sergey was rockin the room in his gray suit.  I was most impressed with the atmosphere of the room - which was relaxed and fun.  I could tell that the reception was going to be a great time.

So thank-you Sergey and Caitlin for allowing me to perform your ceremony.  It was a lot of fun.

It was my pleasure to perform the ceremony of Sherie & Tim this last Friday evening.  It was a very low key wedding that involved just the family and close friends in a adorable little church in Mission BC.  The church was so small that most of had a hard time finding. (having the wrong address probably didn't help)

The ceremony itself was relaxed and warm as we moved through the process at a comfortable pace that allowed for true emotion to be shown.  The bride looked stunning in a off white lace dress and the groom was very sharp in his new suit.

Thank-you Sherie and Tim for allowing me to be part of your big night and hope the party that followed was exactly what you wanted.  All the best to both of you as you continue forward.

On October 9th I got to spend another day at Newlands Golf course in Langley.  This place always reminds me of my cousins wedding almost 20 years ago.  What a great location.

This time I was with Angela and Tyler on their special day.  We had a good sized group out on the patio next to the gazebo and as usual the Newlands staff was top notch as the scurried around making everything just perfect.

Angela looked stunning and the whole party had a great feel about them.  There were lots of nerves but in the end the whole day came off without a hitch.  I think the biggest problem we had was getting the photographer up on the roof top patio so that she could take a picture of the whole group.

My best wishes to both Angela and Tyler on their wedding and their long journey together.  All the best.

Amelia__garethI get to do weddings in a variety of different locations - beaches, parks, chapels, and even a baseball diamond.  But this was my first theatre.

Amelia and Gareth planned their wedding in the Port Moody community theatre.  What a great location that was made better by the eerie elevator music they had playing prior to the wedding.  I have never heard the classical version of Queen's bohemian rhapsody before.  It came off eerie - kinda like a 30s mystery night.

The wedding itself ran a little late as we waited for the dog - yes I said dog.  But in the end we had a great time.  The wedding party entered from the sides of the stage and everyone got a kick out of Gareth strutting down from the back of the stage to the front.  The ceremony itself was light and fun and in the end everyone was smiling through their tears.

I also had to opportunity to work with my favorite photographer - Athena Green on this wedding which is always fun

Thanks for the opportunity to be part of your big day and all the best to both of you as you begin this journey together.

In my job I am often faced with unique challenges that cause me to step outside of my box a little.  With Tess and Chris I had to step way outside.  This great couple decided to have a surprise wedding which I think is very cool.  The challenge for me was explaining why I was there and how I knew the couple.  Needless to say I lied through my teeth.

When the couple finally entered the room I confessed my sins to everyone and we started the ceremony.  It was a lot of fun to see the expression on peoples faces when they saw the couple for the first time.  Tess was dressed in a gorgeous form fitting gown while Chris rocked the house in his Montes uniform.

The ceremony was highlighted by the sharing of the vows which were read off there iphones and the whole place cheered loudly as they kissed and made it official.

Thanks for allowing me to be part of this great event guys.  I am honored.
