I had the joy of marrying Nicole and Arthur last weekend and to say it was hot would be an understatement. With the tempatures pushing 30 outside the little United Church on Mt Lehman was easily pushing 40 inside. But that wasn't going to deter this crowd - they were here to celebrate.
Nicole was a few minutes late (which is right on time in bride talk) and the guests were still in a good mood. The ceremony was simple, yet very sincere and I have to admit even I was choking back a tear as i watched these two commit themsleves to each other.
The bride look stunning and even thou the sweat was dripping into my eyes i could see that everyone agreed.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the blue grass band. They added an air of fun to the event and kept everyone in good spirits. The other highlight was when the maid of honor turned to me with fear in her eyes as she picked up the pen - not sure if she could hold it as she glistened in the heat.
In the end it was a great ceremony with 2 truly great people. i wish you all the best and hope you had a great honeymoon.
